About Louisiana Career College Association

The Louisiana Career College Association is an organization designed to promote private, for profit career colleges in Louisiana. Our role is to educate our members about educational trends, regulatory changes, training initiatives and accreditation.
Formerly known as the Louisiana Association of Private Colleges and Schools, the group began in 1972. We are a statewide organization with a board of directors, mission, and bylaws. We work closely with the Board of Regents to promote the career college industry in the state.
In 2001, the members of the LAPCS voted to change their name to the Louisiana Career College Association, to recognize the career emphasis of our member colleges as well as our affiliation with the national Career College Association (CCA.)
